Since the launch of the Control Room Awards, the first to recognise the life-changing work of control room staff across the emergency services in their day-to-day duties, the public and private sectors have rallied together to promote the cause and publicly thank those personnel who deserve it most.

With umpteen nominations already submitted and sponsorship packs having been posted up and down the country to a host of fire, ambulance and police services, as well as Coastguard, animal welfare and local authority control rooms, we’re delighted to see so many people and organisations coming together to celebrate the unsung heroes of the control room.

At the same time, a handful of generous organisations have joined the force and are helping to make this event a real success. Joining the Platinum Sponsor, Telent, and Media Partner, British APCO, we're proud to welcome our Bronze sponsors, this week - Sopra Steria and Seed Software, both of which have longstanding relationships within emergency and critical control rooms.

Sopra Steria is trusted by leading private and public organisations to deliver successful transformation programmes that address their most complex and critical business challenges. Andrew Fuller, Head of Command and Control Solutions, said “We have a long heritage of delivering control room solutions to the emergency services and working so closely in this environment, we see many inspirational people working in challenging circumstances. It's great to be able to honour those who make such an incredible contribution and help improve the lives of others. ”

Seed Software provides dependable front line, mission critical software solutions with a strong focus on research and development to the public and private sectors within the United Kingdom. Currently working with a number of fire and rescue services around the UK, Seed works with their front-line crews and staff to develop solutions that make the difference, building a reputation as being easy to use, with technical depth, stability and security.

In addition to their Bronze sponsorship, Sopra Steria and Seed Software are each sponsoring awards on the evening. Sopra Steria will sponsor the Call Taker of the Year, while Seed Software is behind the Young Achiever of the Year category. Representatives from each organisation will be in presence at the Control Room Awards 2018 where they will present these awards to the winner for each category.

We’re delighted to welcome on-board our latest partners and are grateful for their support in making this first Control Room Awards 2018 the success it deserves.

Full details of these sponsorships will be announced in January 2018.
